The scan went very well. At first, couldn't see the lips and the heart valves so was referred to a senior sonographer. Luckily she managed to see it, if not, I have to come back next week, like a colleague of mine (she has to come back 3 times). Found out the gender of the baby.. a boy! Was shocked as all along I thought its a girl. Well, not disappointed cos I didn't have any preference. Its my first. Can try for a girl next time. Dr Loh said everything looks fine except that the placenta is low lying and that the thigh bone appears longer, explaining baby is on the tall side. nothing to be worried about for both as he said the placenta should go up near to delivery ( if not, then caesarean is the option).
Felt really relieved that everything seems to be fine so far. Weight gain is also not too far off. Generally feel fine and healthy except for the occasional leg cramps at night. Had experienced 3 so far. The last 2 was less painful than the first. I tried the method kak lina taught me. Its true. It relieved the spasms almost immediately... I'm halfway there!
